EDS Videos

Videos of how to perform beginning exercises in chapter 2 of my book, labeled Level 1 mat exercises and Level 1 ball exercises.  All 8 exercises are meant to be performed together in order to build symmetry in your low back musculature.  These videos were developed to help you understand the correct technique of all 8 of these exercises.

Level 1 Mat Exercises:

These 5 exercises were developed to stabilize your pelvis and hips. All 5 exercises together are considered Level 1 Mat exercises. Therefore, you need to perform all 5 exercises in order to build muscle symmetry throughout your pelvis and hips. If you have hip dysplasia or your hips hurt during these exercises, stop immediately and perform the exercises on pages 44,48,52,54 and 55 instead. Remember all people with EDS need to review these exercises with their local PT before attempting them. Failure to do so may lead to injury.

Supine marches (page 46 of my book)

Bridges (page 44 of my book) Do not do this exercise if you have a neck fusion or have CCI

Ball Squeezes (page 54 of my book)

Clam Exercise (page 55 of my book)

Prone Hip Extension (page 50 of my book) Do not do this exercise if you have spondylolisthesis of your lumbar spine.

Level 1 Ball Exercises:

These 3 exercises were designed to stabilize your sacrum and facet joints. Please make sure you have a proper balance before performing any ball exercises. Always perform these exercises with your local PT first, so they can determine you are safe before using the yoga ball.
